Romantic relationships aren't everything in life, but there is no denying that they can often seem very important. This is especially true when it comes to the difficult task of raising kids. It's still rare that a parent sets out to bring up their children alone, but that's exactly what millions end up doing anyway.

Single parenthood is something that can be a difficult emotional ride, and it's understandable that anyone in that position might want to share their frustrations from time to time. This is something that has caused controversy recently, after a single mom recorded herself crying while baking birthday cupcakes for herself.

Many viewers were skeptical of her decision to publicize how she was feeling, although some had their sympathies for what she was going through. It has to be said, there will always be something strange about anybody who has a desire to post themselves crying on social media.
